Luisa has been part of Lendo since 2020 and is based in Oslo. She works with corporate strategy and M&A. 

Describe your journey at Lendo?

It’s been a really fun journey! For the past 5 years I’ve experienced big changes, I went from working as a corporate lawyer in my home country Colombia, to working in strategy for a technology company in Spain and then moving to Oslo. When I joined Lendo, I didn’t really know what to expect, but Lendo surprised me in all the right ways. I found a company full of amazing colleagues where I can have an impact and have a lot of fun.

What are you working on these days?

M&A is one of the focus areas in Lendo at the moment, so I’ve been working mostly in this. My job is to develop the strategy for M&A and look for companies that we can join forces with, understand the synergies that we can create together and eventually manage the merger or acquisition process. In this, I work with different areas of Lendo and Schibsted throughout the process stages: research, initial assessment, valuation, planning, due diligence, negotiation, closing and implementation. 

I’m also working with sustainability, focusing mostly in designing and implementing our DIB strategy. Together with the management team and the sustainability community, we are creating targets, metrics and initiatives to become front-runners in this area. 

What’s your favourite thing about working at Lendo?

I’ve had the opportunity to work on different projects from M&A to product strategy, and sustainability and DIB (Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging). In every project, I’ve been given the freedom to question the way we do things and propose new ideas. This is very special about Lendo, we’re always open to adapting. And of course, the people!
